Missions, objectives and structure

The OGBL Civil Service Department is responsible for all matters relating to the public sector, as well as the salary and pension system and the status of civil servants and employees of the state and municipalities.

It constitutes a platform for exchange between the OGBL professional syndicates in the public sector.

The department is composed of :

  • the members of the union leadership of the professional syndicates Education and Science SEW/OGBL, Public Service OGBL/Landesverband, Health, Social and Educational Services, and Railways FNCTTFEL-Landesverband;
  • the central secretaries and deputy central secretaries of the same unions;
  • the members of the committees of the civil service associations with which the OGBL has a cooperation agreement;
  • the OGBL candidates for the Chamber of Civil Servants and Public Employees;
  • the OGBL candidates for the delegations of the civil servants and employees of the municipalities;
  • the union advisor assigned to the department;
  • the member of the OGBL Executive Board competent for the department.

Since February 2022, the OGBL team has been reinforced by an advisor in the person of Carla Jorge Matias to offer an information, counselling and assistance service for all civil servants and employees of the state and the municipal sector. She is available for your questions from Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm by phone +352 54 05 45 260 or by e-mail: carla.jorge@ogbl.lu
